I was born in Arkansas and grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. I attended Blue Valley North High School and from there went on to the University of Missouri-Columbia on a basketball scholarship. My experiences as a college athlete and as a professional model have shaped me into the physically sound, mentally tough and multifaceted individual I am today. Along the way, I learned that there are always people that will try to put you in a box. I struggled with this for a long time thinking that I had to choose one thing to be. It took me a long time to realize that the box actually represents their limitations and not mine. Having traveled the world from New York to Paris, to South America and many other places in between, I now reside in Ely, Iowa with my husband, Stefan. He is a successful Realtor and Real Estate Investor. We have a seven year old son, Braylon and a four year old daughter, Ashlynn. They bring so much joy and fun to our lives! My hope is that my lovely little gremlins will grow in to adult humans that also test the boundaries of their perceived limitations. My career story began as a young girl with a dream of becoming a journalist. That was, until taking a Communications course titled “The Convergence of Media” while attending the University of Missouri- Columbia. In this class, I learned how technology was affecting the way we communicate and how the devices we use were on a collision course. This experience opened my eyes to the evolution of marketing. I’ve always aspired to tell stories and had a knack for art. So, I decided to switch gears and expand my skill set to meet the growing demand of small businesses adapting to these changes. As a mom, wife, former division I college athlete, foodie, film enthusiast, social activist, shooter, editor, graphic designer, coder, XBox Kinect junky, karaoke fanatic and bathroom mirror concert performer, I thrive on staying active. I still moonlight as a professional model and in what little free time I have left, I enjoy organic gardening, running and traveling.
